MISSION

City of Hope Safe Haven provides comfortable and emotional support for families. It is a recovery program for men and women who have any kind of life controlling issue. Life controlling issues include but are not limited to drug and alcohol addictions, suicidal thoughts, depression, homelessness, and any other issue that keeps an individual from moving forward in life. We will help them to realize their potential and their dreams through provisions of temporary shelter, trainings, referrals, and linkages. We desire to make a difference and to provide them with array of positive alternatives from which they can make choices that determine the quality of their lives. Our Discipleship program is a 12-24 month long residential, community living program. It is a faith based ministry that focuses on teaching each disciple how to build and cultivate a distinctive relationship with God as the primary tool they need.

VISION

The City of Hope Safe Haven wants to directly impact the issues that afflict Atlanta and its surrounding areas. We are reconnecting isolated people to God and have a community of support by providing free human services that address immediate and long term needs in the areas of homelessness, hunger relief, mental health, and education. The unifying condition for virtually all of Georgia’s homeless population is poverty. Many people who are homeless also experience some type of personal vulnerability that places them at risk such as family violence, substance abuse, human trafficking, mental illness, and criminal background. Atlanta is the poorest city in the U.S for children. 48 percent of all children live in families with annual incomes of less than 15,000 a year. Atlanta is one of the largest hubs for human trafficking in the country. These children are most often lured into this lifestyle between the tender age of 12-14. Atlanta is also ranked #1 for sex trafficking.

City of Hope Safe Haven will provide comfortable, and emotional support for families. It is a recovery program for men and women who have any kind of life controlling issue.
